The people who make KoorTickets.nl possible are passionate about singing in a choir. Many are volunteers. We all sing in at least 2 choirs, and most of us play an instrument on top of that. We therefore realise better than anyone that the cultural sector - and in particular amateur choirs - does not always have it easy as far as finances are concerned.
In our professional lives we all have a background in IT. When someone came up with the idea to put our skillsets in service of our passion, the choice to set up KoorTickets.nl was straightforward. We are therefore proud to present the ticketing platform that drastically reduces the costs of issuing digital tickets. Because we can. So we should.
This way all our fellow choir enthusiasts can focus on what they are best at: singing!
Why wouldn’t it be? All that’s needed is a PSP like Mollie, Pay of Buckaroo, a hosting company, a bank, and some enthusiastic people. That doesn’t need to be that expensive.
… at least, if you’re not about making huge profits
Of course our service isn’t free. Transactions via Mollie, Pay, or Buckaroo unfortunately cost money. So, per transaction (pay attention: not per admission or product sold) we charge what Mollie charges. There’s no other way. And there’s a small service fee on top of that, just to be able to remain solvent. We’re quite open and honest about that, too.
…but that really doesn’t need to be as expensive as what our competitors are offering…
